Broadcasting | WKPW | Knightstown | Classic Hits | 90.7 FM

Students in our Broadcasting program gain experience on the award-winning student station, Classic Hits 90.7 FM, WKPW. Broadcasting provides students experience in the following areas:  announcing, writing, news & sports, production, recording studio engineering, and music. Daily duties include on-air shifts, hourly news, sportscasts production, and weekly production assignments. Second year students are assigned more complex independent projects and are expected to fill lead on-air roles.

  • Have won many awards at the state competition

  • Tour Commercial Radio & TV Stations

  • Tour Recording Studios

  • Have gone on to attend many colleges such as Ivy Tech, Ball State, Purdue, and Vincennes

  • May go on directly to work at radio or TV stations

  • Have worked with/for NASCAR, NBA, NFL, MLS Soccer, Daughtry, Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd, & Def Tones
