Graphic Design
The Graphic Design program at New Castle Career Center prepares students for exciting careers in marketing, design, social media, and much more. First-year students will gain a strong foundation in Adobe programs, design fundamentals, and photography. Second-year students will continue to build upon the basics while taking on real life projects and exploring work-based learning opportunities. Graduates of the two-year program will be ready to start their own business, enter the workforce, or head to college with a Technical Certificate from Ivy Tech and Adobe Professional Certifications.
A TYPICAL GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDENT:
Comfortable using a computer & is proficient navigating a Mac
Artistically minded & has some artistic skills
Comfortable working independently & in small groups
Wants to develop skills in working with clients on real-life projects
Has an open mind to new experiences
Enjoys the creative process

Students have worked on projects for community groups, local companies, area high schools, and student organizations
Students have gone on to attend Ball State School of Art, Purdue Richmond, IUPUI Herron School of Art, Butler University, and more
Students collaborated with other career programs to complete joint projects
