Leadership Day was held on Thursday, November 16th as part of our school's Leader in Me focus. (Students in the above photo are from the student Lighthouse Team or had a role during the Leadership Day.) Leadership Day is a day set aside to showcase our school's Leader in Me development for community members and other schools who are thinking about adopting the LIM platform. We had several community members and school personnel attend. Attendees were taken on building tours to observe some of our classroom leadership habits as it relates to the 7 Habits of Happy Kids. Students performed as part of the program sharing songs, mission statements, and chants that help them recall the habits. Other students shared how important the habits had become to them and how they use them to grow and develop. Students, teachers, and community members participated on a panel discussion where those in attendance could ask questions about Leader in Me. The entire day was spearheaded by students with support from teachers.
