The New Castle Career Center Introduces New Instructors

The New Castle Career Center recently welcomed two new program instructors to its staff. Ronald Perrin will serve as the Welding I & II Programs Instructor and Cara King will lead the Dental Career Program.

Perrin joined the New Castle Career Center mid-semester of the 2019-20 school year. He is a graduate of Tipton High School and owns a Hot Rod shop that specialized in welding and fabrication. Perrin was initially hesitant to apply for the instructor position, but after a few weeks on the job he knew his life was changed.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve shown up to work and saw so many smiling faces,” Perrin explained. “Being able to mold a young mind and do your best to set them on a path to greatness is a wonderful feeling.”

Over the summer, Perrin was able to create a custom-tailored curriculum to meet the many facets of welding and fabrication. He is eager to help students fine-tune their skills and prepare them for their future.

King has 14 years of experience as a Functions Dental Assistant. She graduated from New Castle High School and completed the dental program her senior year. Upon learning of the job opening for dental instructor, King jumped on the opportunity to share her knowledge with students.

“I had such a great experience with the dental program while I was in school,” King said. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to teach students hands on!”

The New Castle Career Center has several programs for students to participate in. King has firsthand appreciation for the support from staff and instructors.

“I can’t wait to get to know my students and watch them learn new skills,” King added.
